*New Alberta Health measures have been put in place province-wide to reduce the spread of COVID-19. CPF Alberta will be following these measures to ensure the safety of our members and participants for this event. What does this mean for you?

1st dose vaccination proof required to attend. 

Alberta’s Restriction Exemption Program is being implemented by the Coast Plaza in Canmore. Proof of 1st dose vaccination will be required by hotel staff upon arrival. To enter businesses participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program, people ages 12 and older must provide proof of vaccination, a negative PCR test (taken within the last 72 hours) or documentation of a medical exemption. During the period Sept. 20 to Oct. 25, proof of a single dose is considered acceptable as long as the dose was administered by October 7th, 2021.
-Masks MUST be worn within the building except when eating. (Mandatory for grades 4 and up. We encourage, when possible, grades k-3 as well).
-Enhanced cleaning measures are in place by the Coast Canmore hotel.
-Hand sanitizing stations will be set up by the Coast Plaza and CPF Alberta. Hand sanitizer will be monitored and used at all youth programs and events.

-The Coast Canmore and CPF Alberta will accommodate social distancing as much as possible.

-Assigned seating (family cohorts) will be provided for all group meals and events.

Falling into French is a  French Family Fun weekend in Canmore, Alberta

Who should attend?  Families of French-Second-Language, French Immersion and Francophone students.

Opportunities for students 12-18 years of age to be Monitors in training/Monitors or babysitters. Learn more about opportunity HERE.

What will take place?  A fun-filled family weekend full of French and bilingual activities for French and non-French speakers.

Where will everything take place?  Coast Canmore Hotel & Resort and Canmore & Banff Alberta.

Why should you go?  This is an opportunity for your child(ren) to use and  practice their French outside of school.

When will it take place?  October 22-24, 2021

This event will include:

  • 2 nights accommodation
  • Breakfast on Saturday & Sunday*
  • Saturday morning parents session*
  • Saturday morning Annual General Meeting (AGM) – Please register HERE to attend.*
  • Dinner & Entertainment on Saturday evening*
  • Sociocultural programming for students K-12*
  • Sunday morning family activity*
  • All taxes and gratuities

*All participants will be required to practice hand hygiene, “Social distancing”, and wear face coverings to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19 when in a group setting.
