Camping en Français in Drumheller, Alberta – August 16 – 19, 2024

Where will everything take place? Handhills High-Country Hideaway
What will take place? A fun-filled family camping weekend full of French and bilingual activities for French and non-French speakers.

Why should you go? This is an opportunity for your child(ren) to use and practice French outside of school. It’s also a great opportunity to take some time to spend time with family and friends.
When will it take place? August 16 – 19, 2024
What will you need? This is a camping weekend, please bring your trailer, tent or tent trailer and everything you need to camp.
Who should attend? CPF Members’ Families of French-Second-Language, French Immersion and Francophone students who wish to camp with other families.
- CPF Alberta & NWT is happy to announce that CPF membership is now FREE! Please complete membership before registering for any of our programs. For our family events, one family member must be a CPF member, however, we encourage everyone over the age of 18 to join in our mission to support French second language learning and become a members! - Monitors (aged 16+). Please note that we do not have the same requirements for this event as we do for the Falling into French Weekend or French Family Fun weekend as some of the programming will be done by partner staff. Positions are limited and will be based on CPF Alberta requirements for the event.

*Included with registration cost:
- 3 nights accommodation (choose from a fully serviced site or un-serviced site in the Group area B for your tent or trailer.
- Family Scavenger hunt
- Saturday youth programming in French (ages 5-17)
- Saturday night catered super
- Saturday evening entertainment/fire-pit social
- Sunday youth programming (ages 5 – 17)
- Sunday evening fire-pit social/ Potluck dessert
- Entry fees for the rest of the family during the programming times for the youth.

Camping package is a base rate for 1 adult + 1 Child additional adults and children extra. Children aged 5 and younger are FREE.
BASE RATES:
1 Adult + 1 child – Unserviced camping site (Group site B) for tents and trailers – $180.00
1 Adult + 1 child – Power & Water camp site (Group site B) for tents and trailers – $200.00
1 Adult + 1 child – Fully serviced site (exact sites being confirmed) (with power / water & sewage)- $225.00
Cost for additional adults/children:
Each additional adult (18+) add: $65.00 (incl. entry fees)
Each additional child (5-12) add: $25 (incl. Programming, entry fees)
Each additional youth (13 – 18) add: $25 (incl. Programming & entry fees)
Amenities at campground:
Mini golf (upgrades coming soon), sand Volleyball Court, Sandpit with fossil or coin dig for kids, convenience store, Hookum, Corn hole, Badminton and bocce ball, Horseshoe pits. Feel free to bring your own equipment as there is limited supplies on site.
