Guest Speaker: Our guest speaker will be Dr. Hélène Flamand, a Teaching professor and School Psychologist.
She will be presenting on parents’ well-being in the times of COVID-19:
Most children are back in school. Although the long-term impacts of COVID-19 are largely unknown, they now have some access back to support services. That is not the case for the parents, who bore the brunt of teaching and working during the lockdown (and may again) and who no doubt have felt their needs were neglected. Although this workshop offers no miracle cure, it is an opportunity of exchange and resilience-building between parents. When parents are well, children usually do well too.
