Canadian Parents for French Alberta has partnered with Daniel Richer by bringing him to Alberta to present his indigenous storyteller series IN FRENCH for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12! Each 60 minute presentation is sure to capture how unique Daniel can be, while narrating stories from his Abenaki and Dakota heritage and showcasing his unique skill set! Each 60 minute presentation will cost $800. There will be AM and PM presentations available for every date and we ask that you select 1 – 4 presentations (tickets) based on what your school will require.

If you only require 2 presentations please only book both AM (1 & 2) or both PM (3 & 4)  presentations, or select all 4 presentations a full day. Please make sure that you book all your tickets on the same date and in your region (listed on the ticket).

We recommend that you work with other schools in your district so that everyone can profit from this amazing opportunity! He has 3 different show options as listed below. Please select the show you require when booking your ticket.


Papoose Aki

Kindergarden – Grade

In the sixth season the Elders gathered children around the fire and using the “Bag of Mystery”  shared the legends and lessons of Mother Earth. Young students will enjoy this storytelling performance, which includes First Nations Sign language, a sign language game, songs and a dance of friendship.

 Maximum: 200 participants

Content: Literary Arts, Drama, Native Sign-Language


Seven Tales for Language Seven Teachings

Grade 4 – Grade 8 

Daniel will guide students along the path of the Elders. Seven interactive stories and seven animal totems offer tools to be used in daily life.

The Dream Catcher and the Wolf

Grade 7 – Grade 12

Daniel brings students the richness of aboriginal culture and history through his knowledge of Mother Earth, Turtle Island’s great teacher. His legends and stories speak of respect and harmony among all living things and demonstrate how everyone is part of the sacred circle of life.

 Maximum: 200 participants
