Do have a special way with words? O’Poésie is a French poetry contest for students learning French as a second language (FSL)!
Students submit a typed (or filmed*) poem using our online form. The contest opens in December and closes in February (dates subject to change each year). Poems will be judged by French-speaking poets, writers, and educators. Prizes will be awarded to the winners in each category.
Download and print our CPF Poetry Worksheet to help you get started! You can grab it here:
*Students participating in the Slame tes Accents! contest may submit the same entry to O’Poésie for another chance to win.
The Marathon de Lecture is a French Read-a-Thon for Canadian Core French students. Students read French comics or graphic novels to raise money for a good cause, improve their French reading skills, and have fun at the same time!
