Canadian Parents for French Alberta is proud to be the founder and the coordinator of “French Family Fun Weekends”. These weekends are an opportunity for families of students in French-second-language, French Immersion and Francophone programs to come together to not only celebrate their childrens’ French language skills, but to also provide them an opportunity for their children to “live” French by participating in socio-cultural activities.
Due to Covid-19, we have gone virtual for this year’s French Family Fun Weekend! Join us from February 26-28 for a virtual weekend of family fun in French!
For $50 per family, students will enjoy a weekend of French programming and parents will enjoy an informative session in English as well as family programming.
Student events are tailored for students in grades K-2 and 3+. Activities include: music, art therapy, fun science, cooking, nature presentations with staff from Parks Canada, Kahoot trivia, and a scavenger hunt.
For parents we are offering an informative parent session in English on Saturday morning. The topic will be announced shortly.
There are also activities for the whole family! Including family yoga and a musical performance by Roger Dallaire.
The first 75 AB/NWT families who register will also receive a box filled with goodies to make the weekend extra special!
